Cabarete
(we all make typos, so I won't ask about the size of EHM's pallet) Unless he made up that statistic just to take a shot at DR education, it would be interesting to know where it came from. According to TasteAtlas.com, their 100 best cuisine awards for 2024/2025 include the DR at #92, Irish at #80, Scottish at #78, English at #48, Canadian at #43, and American at #13.
El hijo de Mangu likes to make up things about the English to suit his prejudices. He really should visit the country and try one of the many highly rated restaurants now that he has apparently escaped his hated Cabarete.

Yes, I figured that a while ago...but sometimes I do like to politely wave the BS flag :)

They have one good dish! Fish and chips. That's if you hold the repulsive mushy peas. You should have replied direct to my post so I could see your personal attack sooner. Are you still mad I left without taking you out for happy hour wings and two-fer piña coladas at your fave Mojito Bar. It wasn't you I promise, it was the stench of vomit and yeast coming from their overpiled garbage in the alley way.

If I were in the Dominican right now, and I just so happened to be from the UK, I may try to expand my pallet a bit considering the UK is ranked 130 out of 200 in cuisine, ironically exactly where the DR stands in global public education.

Says the American...? I imagine US cuisine if there is such a thing is number 200 on that list, unless you like everything covered in grease. Apologies for going OT but I did already make helpful suggestions to the OP and reach out to them privately so hopefully I have some brownie points to cash in.

No one likes their baby called ugly Maria. Remember, Ramsey isn't British food. Chip buddies are British food, so is canned Heinz beans on white bread. That's not to say I am not a fan of a good fish and chips, which I am. Just hold the mushy peas. I would like to add that I do love Colman's mustard!

There are none. In 20 years I never saw HP sauce, Colman's or Bisto (this is the UK instant gravy 🤢). You can of course get this stuff on Amazon and, that said, how can someone not know this.
Why assume the OP did not know of the existence of Amazon and other online sources? The question was regarding availability/locations here in the DR.

Yes heard about the supermarket which is now where L&R is next to Parada El Choco. Was thinking maybe in PC as UK is the highest number of European visitors to DR, maybe there was a British shop, apparently not. I personally refuse to use Bezos's company for anything as I just don't like how they screw people...anyways thanks for all the replies and remember YNWA
Wow, Anti Amazon? Oh well, go without instead. Cutting off one's nose to spite their face.

Perhaps use Ebay since Amazon is abhorrent?

Visitors to Punta Cana would not be the key, but Brit Expats living in Punta Cana might eventually change things for that spot of the DR I have no intentions of ever visiting.

You definitely won't find Marmite and HP Sauce in Jumbo or Nacional. These are very specific British products and there is a tiny British population in DR. The only British stuff you find is like Worcestershire sauce which has a following in the US. Nacional's international offering is very US-centric for obvious reasons.

I stayed in London for a couple of days two weeks ago. We ate some of the best steaks and pie.

It's called having principals buddy. That's why the original post, you know trying to help out the little man? Or did you really think I didn't know anything and everything is available on amazon? The question was quite clear from the get go...

FWIW, I just checked Walmart, and not only do they have items listed in the OP, but they have a bunch of different varieties of each item listed in the OP.

Walmart probably has lots of items you may have trouble finding back home.

Actually Walmart is probably a good option. They could deliver to one of the shippers in Miami. I still wonder if you'd get UK brands like PG Tips or Branston Pickle though.

Walmart has 72 options for PG Tips and 11 options for Branston Pickle.

I try to stay away from anything in a glass jar. Amazon Fresh shoppers have not impressed me with their packing. I wonder if Walmart is any different.

You can find eels in Nagua or beach localities and buy it fresh from the fishers and make your pies on your house.

Eels, aren't kinda of regular ingredient in Dominican cuisine / seafood.
I've never heard of eel pie if that was what you were alluding to. Now jellied eels with pie and mash, yes...but I'm not really bothered about that outside of London...just wanted some HP, Branston and even some Colemans...cheers mate.
