Damn. Since when is someone so high and mighty that conversing with the "so called" lower class is forbidden?

I do not want to turn this into an off-topic issue BUT I still have friendships with old pals that do not fit the "higher class" mentality.

Some family members still live in the "hood". Does this mean I should outcast them because I have done better for myself and live in the burbs?

Quit thinking like a gringo atheist already, "lower class" has nothing to do with material wealth.

With all due respect the thread should be renamed:

"Understanding the lower class Dominican Mentality because that's all gringos associate with"

Damnit Chip, what is it with you and your incessant gringo bashing? Do you think so much of yourself that you feel the need to denigrate others who don't share your world view? Were you maybe a subject of drug experimentation in the military? if so, I'll give you a pass. If not, I'm just gonna chalk it up to you being a bitter wanna-be dominican. You simply cannot lump all gringos/expats into one group. It only goes to show that education without the benefit of level-headed thinking is a waste.
I'd said in a previous post that I would like to crawl inside your noggin to check the gears, bolts, and stuff, but on second thought, what I find, might keep me awake nights.

Chip, please take your US bashing to us1 and your religious post to wwcd. OR... Make some constructive posts about things like how to manage DR workers; a frequent complaint. OR ... Get lost.

Chip doesn't play well with others. He didn't fit in as a gringo and he now realizes he doesn't fit in as a Dominican either. Sad really.

If he keeps it up, he might not fit in with the DR1 community as well. :(

Dominicans be crazy. Gringos be crazy.
Neither is better or worse, but I think in general, the Dominicans are happier.

People, don't feed the fire. Chip made a observation that most relate to the lower classes. To me this is quite simply a mix of words, everyone talks about the lower class because they are more entertaining. Life on the edge is always more amuzing as people become more desperate. So he has a point there. It is obvious we don't all come under the lower class bracket as it is impossible to exist without money as a typical foreigner here. And so on those implications ignore as ypu would a child.
Like his suicidal/martyr (which ever you prefer) right hand man he feeds of being ridiculed, disliked and battered, which he will never get from me. Nor should he others as for as long as you guys persist to feed him rejection, the stronger he feels he is and best he is doing in the eyes of his right hand man.
Agree with him, love him, patronize his ideal, once he stops getting beat up for being as he is then he will have to sing another tune to that of what we all know.

So yes Chip, maybe the thread should be changed in name, and I agree with your observation.

It is great that you love your adopted country and hate your native country, makes sense that you live here. Much better than those who move here then complain about how terrible everthing is here and so good back home, thst is truely crazy.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Time for a new tune I think?

As usual you are completely lost, "lower class" has nothing to do with economic class but of persons with low moral character.

The fact is since Robert quit being involved in this forum we have been invaded by whoremongers who pontificate about how "immoral" Dominicans are.

I did not put class into wealth brackets, merely mentioned that most who can afford to move into another country like this has manahed to do well enough in life to secure themselves a certain status, financially and socially.
There are a million things I cohkd mention thst you have spoke of in the past that you probably woukd not want to go into. The biggest monger on this site is you. You have bought into a lifestyle that few can understand, you have distanced yourself through you own short sightedness and lack oc respect. So please, you have no moral highground at all.

But we all love you and know that you do not belive in your own beleifs as you preach or you wohkd never need yo mention your faith, that in itself is a sign of insecurity, uncertainty and desperation.
