Delta??? There are on the verge of bankruptcy, they have the largest number of consumer complaints of any major airline.

Living in Canada, I usually fly the charters to DR but had the opportunity to fly Delta out of JFK earlier in the year (had only flown Delta within US before).
I was so impressed with the flight in general and the excellent service compared with many other scheduled carriers I have flown, that I actually submitted a letter of praise commending them on a job well done, since most times they only hear from whiners! ;)

Chicago to Punta Cana

My daughter lives in Chicago, so for grins, I checked the price. $1,000 or more. Then you have to get from Punta Cana to either Santiago or Puerto Plata......no bargains here! :disappoin

Where are you getting this fare from? AA, US Air and Delta all show $405 + tax from Ohare. I beleive that Apple Vacations also has their charters from Chicago?

doesnt matter, United airlines and us airways are in bankrupt and they are flying normal.
My point was that I was LOL at your responce, Delta will never come close to AA's standards, because they won't be there.
I too have had no problems with either Delta or US Air in domestic flights.

Well, we know that delta is not going to come close to AA standards, maybe delta can be one day the 2 largest airlines in USA, cause they are now the third largest airlines in USA, with UAl in bankrupty we dont know yet.

This is true, they are the third largest. Their stock is at $2.53 a all time low in 43 years. Last month 388 million loss, also cut 23,000 jobs in the US. I'd have to say that there in bed now with GM and Ford Motor Co. Northwest is not far behind.

FYI...Delta is the world's second-largest airline in terms of passengers carried and the leading U.S. carrier across the Atlantic.

what standars we are talking about?? between DL and AA???

Check the safety records between Delta And American....compare the services provide between each one....check the ontime perfomance and baggage mishandler and complaints per passengers..

AA is the no.1 but not the best......we have a lot of other airlines ..like B6,Fl.
