The medics of the IMG Hospital in Punta Cana have confirmed the death of a fifth victim of the lethal rollover of a bus taking tourists to an excursion in Saona Island. The fifth victim is 27-year old Juan Pablo Cuariantun. The accident occurred on 6 October 2022 on the Bulevar del Este in the Bavaro section of Punta Cana.
Others who died in the accident were fellow Argentinians 33-year old Valeria Victoria Brovelli, 44 year old Valeria Paola Medina, 37-year old Alejandro Luis Klinec, and Peruvian 40-year old Karla Rodríguez.
The Suero Servi-Bus overturned with 52 persons on board. The bus had been contracted by Merenba Tour to take the tourists to Bayahibe to board the boat to Saona Island, Listin Diario reports.
