US State Department recommends Dominican government provide Haitian immigrants with identity documents

The US government recommends the Dominican government document Haitian immigrants. Most Haitians do not have any legal official documentation.

The US State Department Trafficking in Persons Report recommends the Dominican Republic fill the void left by the Haitian government and issue or re-issue identity documents to Haitians in border communities and Haitians already in the Dominican Republic.

The report recommends “proactively and consistently screening Haitians and so-named Dominicans of Haitian descent, stressing pregnant women, migrants and those in the sugar industry, for trafficking indicators and referring them to state care.

They talk a lot also about Stateless, but when you go to a Dictionary Stateless mean there is not a nation that grant you a citizenship, and in the case of Haitians their constitution grant the citizenship to all sons and daugthers of Haitian born no matter where they born, thats mean they are not Stateless as they want to make people think. They have to go and ask Haiti to do it.

There is some semblance of a govt. You can still get a passport and they man the borders so that they get their $20 entrance/exit fee. I would think that as you go from locale to locale, it's very different.
Perhaps the US could fund Haitians to go back to Haiti and do this. That is my final answer on that singular point.

This is just more of the same insane woke immigration agenda in the US that also gives drivers licenses to illegals. That will be their next recommendation along with a work permit.
