Vaccination Passports will have new priority because of this

After warning for months that vaccinated people should still be cautious in order to not infect others, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention suggests they may not be at much risk of transmitting the coronavirus.

“Vaccinated people do not carry the virus — they don’t get sick,” Dr. Rochelle Walensky, director of the CDC, told MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow on Tuesday. That’s “not just in the clinical trials, but it’s also in real-world data.”

Testing positive, and having to be hospitalized, are two different things. Being fully vaccinated isn't a "get out of jail free" card, you still need to take precautions, but it appears to eliminate severe cases.
This is about the recent declaration that " all is good to travel" if you have been vaccinated. This is a way to eliminate the liability of transportation companies and is why they lobbied for it.

I'm not a doctor but some play them. Vaccine passports will not happen in the states for health privacy and constitutional reasons. They will be challenged in court up to the SCOTUS whether or not it is government or corporate conceived. 🐑
You may be right, strictly on US soil, but...if the country you are attempting to travel to declares that one must have proof of vaccination, and specifies the vaccines it believes are adequate, then you're screwed. Those without proof or who are getting questionable vaccines, Russian, Chinese and perhaps others like Astra Zeneca may be refused entry, at the plane level or at customs and be turned around at their cost. That I would place a wager on ;) and I'm in favor of it.

Fully vaccinated and you still might be a Typhoid Mary happily spreading the virus while you feel so happy.
STILL waiting for science to weigh in.

Right. Airlines, cruise ships and the NY Yankees notwithstanding.

It isn't the government that will enforce this, it is private businesses to avoid the massive potential liability claims if they don't.

Not sure in which country this might happen, but certainly not in the EU, where it had been agreed there will be no entry/exit discrimination against non-vaccinated travellers except possible requirements of PCR testing and quarantines.

People this is a site dedicated to people who want to talk about Dominican Republic. How can a discussion about vaccine passport requirements in Europe or the US belong here?

Because, the planes have to originate somewhere, and if other countries decide that you must have proof of vaccination to get on the plane, going to the DR, then the flights to the DR will be affected. Capisce ;)

You are reading wrong. Maybe you need to learn to read with comprehension.

  • The Digital Green Certificate will cover three types of certificates –vaccination certificates, test certificates (NAAT/RT-PCR test or a rapid antigen test), and certificates for persons who have recovered from COVID-19.
  • All people – vaccinated and non-vaccinated – should benefit from a Digital Green Certificate when travelling in the EU. To prevent discrimination against individuals who are not vaccinated, the Commission proposes to create not only an interoperable vaccination certificate, but also COVID-19 test certificates and certificates for persons who have recovered from COVID-19.

What's funny is that the same information was posted in the links you listed but you somehow neglected to acknowledge it.

Bottom line, you can/will be able to travel with a vaccine or a PCR or Antigen test. End of the mystery.

Because this guy, he likes to hijack with some geopolitical nonsense about unworthy Chinese or Russian vaccines. Most funny thing is Sputnik V will soon be produced in Germany for use in the EU. So much for the "unworthy" third world vaccines from China and Russia which are currently saving the day and keep 3/4 of world vaccination going, while the "best ever vaccine in universe" from Pfizer and Moderna is in shortage in every place that's been counting on it.

You must be reading different news than the rest of us. New on how the EU is going to use a vaccine passport are everywhere.

But the EU forcing people to either be vaccinated or constantly be tested and/or quarantined is nothing?
It certainly isn't business as usual. but perhaps the new usual.
