Not a problem and thanks!
I searched for a pic of the gazebo at my resort and found one that someone posted from there trip it helped to get a visual :)
Debbie's Dominican site is where i was able to see people's pics.
I had the ceremony in the gazebo and had 22 guests we had plenty of room. It depends on how big the gazebo at HVGB is. I did have the option to have it on the grass or by the beach and the signing would be in the gazebo? Not sure what they offer there.
It was fun having a big group the hotel staff got to know us all very well lol
I'm not sure how it works for your hotel but I got some free stuff for having 22 guests with me. Extra champagne, extra flowers were all free :) Look into it as some hotels offer free stuff!

Music - lovely wedding pics thanks for posting them.

My partner just goes crazy when I hog the computer all night when hes wanting to play poker online. He wants the surprise when we get there. I suppose he's right but I didn't want any nasty surprises when I got there. I still would'nt turn town snaps of a wedding at the HV though. Curiosity always gets the best of me. My mother in law goes a couple of days before me so atleast I will have a full report of the wedding areas and where we will be having our wedding meal. What time of day do you think is best to get married over there.

We were told that they do weddings in the morning or late afternoon as midday is too extreme heat. We are going to go for late afternoon otherwise everyone will be drunk by lunchtime and it will be too hot to stay in wedding dress and suits etc. Does anyone who has booked wedding at HV know if the wedding meal as a wedding table decorated etc or would it be just like if you had booked to go to one of the a la cartes?

PS Getting strange looks from across the room from h2b - he's guessed what I'm doing!!!! I told him I was looking at Ebay!!

I think I might go for an afternoon wedding too. I am not sure about the reception, probably one of the a la cartes. I do hope they dress the tables up. Do you have any idea about how you add extra guests onto the wedding party or will we just sort it all out when we get there. My hubby to be still can't decide what he wants to wear on the big day. Cutting it a bit fine now. Maybe you can see if theres anything while you are on e bay. Haha!

Hi all

Finally found you!!!!

We are flying out on the 30th april so I hope you early birds dont forget to leave us some tips.

I am personally going for the beach location late afternoon. I have seen the gazebo location and isnt anything special.

My friend got married with first choice in cyprus last year and she said the flowers were amazing, if you wanted anything more special you paid a little extra and they made them how they wanted. Hope this is the same in the DR.

Can anyone please run through the leagal fees as from what first choice have said to me and the dominican embassy website my legal fees are foing to be over ?600.

Thank you
kelly

Also I have added people onto my list. It was cheaper for them to book seperately but they link the reference numbers together so weddings know the amount of people in party

HVBG 3rd Sept - 25th Sept

Hi Grogan, i have also gone for the traditional dress, was really lucky though as there isnt loads of layers underneath and will be easy to pack. i went to try loads on the other day and didnt realise exactly how big they are, started to worry how i would get it there as it would nearly take a whole suitcase but was really lucky in finding mine. its like a corset top then goes into an A line bottom, its all 1 piece and its sooo light, it was the first one i tried on and it got the biggest smile when i looked in the mirror.ooooo im getting giddy just thinking about it. he he xx:p

Hi there,

I paid ?25 for the decalarations and am awaiting a price from my travel agents for the rest of the stuff. I do hope its not ?600. I have chose a 2 piece wedding dress. I am hoping I can transport that in a small suitcase because I haven't got a clue how else to. Less than 10 weeks to go. I should have never had that McDonalds for tea last night!. Saying that, I think a whole week of prepared meals is probably gonna do me damage. Theres a change my dress may not fit me by the second week after having all meals prepared in the first week. What do you reckon?

I think I will stop the McDonalds until after the wedding so that it's slack when I go. I don't think I will have any problem growing into it while I am there. What made you choose the HV. I was totally thinking about how much fun the kids are going to have especially in that wave pool. Okay, they may not have as much fun as me.

Hi girls!
Not been on for a couple of nights!I'm still waiting to hear from First Choice regarding some stuff.
I have a very traditional dress but it's very light in weight. Didn't fancy fainting in the heat!! H2b is wearing a beige suit. I haven't any bridesmaids.Sisters aren't going over so decided not to ask any of my friends as too hard to choose.
I'm thinking about getting married about 11am? I just think the day will go so quick. There is a danger of being slighty drunk early then?! I really dont know?
