What do you think of this bamboo fence idea?

While browsing the internet, I came across the idea of a bamboo fence and I really liked it... What should I do to make such a design, I would like to hear your ideas?

I would still do a concrete block wall then rip the bamboo in half and use a good industrial adhesive (and Tapcon screws) to attach the bamboo to the concrete.
I also wouldn't build it over a puddle as reilley mentioned.

Katie - It looks like the bamboo screen is hung on something else - probably an existing wall. I think you can order that bamboo stuff in a roll. And if you don't have an existing wall, you could have somebody build you a frame out of pressure treated wood.

Its not hard at all.
Actually Bamboo can be quite difficult to control once planted if not maintained.
Beware, roots can wreak havoc on undeground pipes and wires.

Just treat the bamboo decoration/ fence with anti insect chemicals etc so it lasts longer.
Btw, if you do as much of the artictic work/ creation yourself, then it makes everything feels so much better later on.

A new luxury high rise in the neighborhood planted Gracilis in front of the cement wall around the property, and it worked great... they only trim it once in a while.............

You don't want to even think about that. See the threads on bamboo. VERY invasive.
