Is there anything we can do to help this girl?

We will wait for the specialists results and recommendations. Her estranged family has agreed to foot the diagnostic costs. So far.
I may spring for a second opinion at a HOME private clinic in Santiago.

As far as laws go..there is a law about wearing helmets on motorcycles. No enforcement.
There is a law about virtually everything in DR ... no real consistent enforcement taking place.
MY boy rides a bicycle in DR but never without a certified helmet . (CSA Certification in our case)

My hopes is that the brain pressure will diminish and she will regain normality with some very bad scars on her face.
Terrible reminder about lack of enforcement.

Follow up ... girl has recovered nicely with ''gravel rash'' scar on face and no more concussions. Except one serious flaw... she rides motorcycles without a helmet..... ''you can lead a horse to water but cannot make it drink"... since then my neighbour was killed on a motorcycle... head injury.... no helmet! Se La Vie.

Glad to hear about her recovery. You probably have a better chance of getting a goat to dance Bachata then getting her to use a helmet.

No argument there.
The fellow who died two weeks ago from my neighborhood because he did not wear a helmet was a real loss to the small community.... and everyone knew it was because he was not wearing a helmet ... but I guess ball caps are just as good (to keep the sun off). A lost cause, why do I bother to stressmyself over this ****?

AS for the scars on girls face, I was able to obtain scar ointment in Canada ''New Skin Scar Fade'' ... it appears to be working. Also works on Esposso's face where a neighbor's bit her ... another story.

Yes I am doing that as well .... After two weeks it is looking better .... THanks WW... I too have many scars to show for a life of misadventure.
