Kyle,
I was thinking of visiting Santiago around the same dates. However, the airfare from Dca was alot higher than normal. I'm guessing it's the high gas prices. I'm curious as to what kind of rate you found. I look forward to a trip report. Save some chicas for the rest of us.
I'm prolly the whitest guy here. My picture is next to the definition of "WASP" in the dictionary.I guess I am whiter than you!!!! ha ha ha......they showed me three rooms....and I went back downstairs to ask the price of each....none were less than 3000 pesos, one was over 4,000 pesos!!

Good Q. I've never stayed more than 2 days. Never left valuables in the room. Except one day I left my wife there for 6 hrs. and when I got back she was still there. Go figure. I'ma dead man. LOL.And how do you maintain security if you wish to leave the room and return?
What do you use for a Key?
A hotel that I like to use in Santiago is the Rotunda, on the northern entrance to the city. Rooms are 350p night with fan, and 700 with ac-fridge. It is next to transporte espinal, has an internet center in front and is pretty nice, and the price is right.
