What are the chances of buying a stolen phone from one of these places? is there an orange store in 30 de marzo? I live close by in san carlos, well my fam does

My friend bought a BRAND NEW phone in the local calling center for about $400 PESOS.
Sure it is a cheapy, but so what, many get lost or stolen anyway.

We go to that calling center all the time, there is no problem.

i don't think a store would have stolen mobiles.
on orange page there are few models below 1000 pesos: alcatel, nokia, motorola, samsung. same with viva...

Well I now have a Blackberry World Edition phone 8830.
This is quadband unlocked and works on BOTH GSM and CDMA networks.
I plan on taking this to DR and just buying a SIM card and use it for local calls only.
Anyone know if CLARO still uses SIMs or GSM networks, I thought I heard they were phasing this out....
I guess if anything i could go to ORANGE since they use SIM cards...
and in any case I still have old CDMA phones as a backup in case my BB acts up and wont work at all.....sigh

I like CLARO's coverage better than the other carriers in DR so I will give them a shot first! :)
still bringing along a simple CDMA phone in case just for backup.... :cheeky:
