I still receive emails from people looking for transportation in the DR, this people say that Mr. Greg Andrews ( Former DR1 moderator) referred my services... I think he passed away three years ago.

looks like people read old postings!

Can't remember his user name.

That's a lot of people. The ones I like for one reason or another are

La Barbie- I like that handle
La Profe- I like that handle
King of Dice- Is he gone also?
Maine Girl- Does she still post?
Maria Obetsanov- This was the Russian Dominican. I use to call her ALL-BETS-ARE-OFF. Has she ever been back?
Celt202- I liked him. Is he still here?

LOL, I guess I was the crazy one. I enjoyed his posts since he brought a twist to the whole thing. By the way, are there ship sailings to Poland? It was the mode of transport in the 19th century.

Gregg's username was fireguy. He sold fire equipment in Nova Scotia. RIP

i believe he meant a ship from NYC to southampton. queen mary 2. 7 days each way.

"Hey, Forbie, stop bragging about how you climbed the corporate ladder... while away on business trips. Also, pollinas are for young girls... young girls under 12."

LOL, Escott would be too much for you. Anyone that likes dogs, kids, and plants has several redeeming qualities.

Escott was hit by a dominican motorcycle racer that wrecked---Escott was a spectator--still layed up i think.

I remember Tony C going off on missing the days when people wore suits to fly. He didn't like seeing tourists in shorts and flip flops on a flight. He claimed that American would not let people wearing jeans in first class etc.

A few years later I was in MIA awaiting a flight to DR. The guy next to me started offering advice on traveling to DR. Where to go, the scams etc. I was humoring him as I had lived in DR for years and had traveled here for even longer. The gate agent announced they were boarding business class only. I got up and grabbed my stuff. The guy, trying to be helpful, in a low voice so as not to embarass me says " they are only boarding business class". I said, I know. He then told me that I couldn't fly in business because I was in jeans and a t shirt! I looked at him and said "Tony"? lol. He looked a bit confused and said his name wasn't Tony. I said thanks for all the info and boarded the plane.

I couldn't figure out which would be funnier. Meeting TonyC in person and knowing it was him because he thought you can't fly business or fist in jeans, or a totally different guy believeing the same. Maybe it was TonyC but that wasn't his real name just his DR1 name. . . .lol. . .

I can sing it in my head..... plenty of empty space to move around up there... moonwalk, etc

Hello there... since I see most of you are still fascinated by my life... let me give you some input on the questions posted here about me and my Ex-HUSBAND..

Just a little reminder... I met Tony in Santo Domingo...he NEVER worked in a hotel, he had more money than me in the bank, a passport and a car which he sold when he came to the USA and brought that money with him to help out while he found a job...which he did within 30 days of arriving...
He is a Marketing/Advertising graduate and speaks PERFECT English since before I met him... Within 6 months of us having married, he switched jobs, and started driving delivering furniture for a HIGH END COMPANY (Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez were clients, just to give you an idea) MAKING more money than ME!!!
The marriage only lasted a couple of years and it had nothing to do with him leaving me... as a matter of fact, I was the one to ask for the divorce... I was bored being married to A GOOD DOMINICAN...
I mean...this man would go play softball at 7 am and be back home at 11 while his friends stayed at the park drinking beer and doing what Dominicans do...
When I asked him about it cause it was starting to annoy me that he would NEVER want to leave the house...he said to me: Mami, most women would be happy that their husbands come home early... It made me feel like ****, but that's when I realized that I WASN'T CUT OUT to be married...
I'd much rather be alone... with no responsibilities... than to have a husband and be bored out of my mind...I'm a flirt... what can I can...and BEFORE I WENT THE CHEATING ROUTE... I decided to end it...
We are still very good friends... I talked to him this past Sunday...and NOW is when he finally has found a girlfriend...I sincerely hope she works out for him...he's a VERY GOOD GUY and very handsome to boot...
He is even supporting me in my new endeavors which you will know about soon... but not yet... so STOP TALKING CRAP ABOUT MY EX HUSBAND or the old MQ will come out to PLAY!!! :(
