Get a grip. I didn't attack anybody's credibility. My question has been answered. He has many and varied reasons for not wanting to post.

While I agree with you, and also regularly keep in touch with him, there’s that pesky free speech in play, as long as no personal attack is made.
Interesting in that it might also be one of CB's reasons for leaving (free speech);).

That having been said.......free speech does not allow you to scream fire in a crowded theatre....or in this case.....attack someones credibility under the guise of free speech with a statement "him being busy filming a motorcycle trip obviously wasn't true."

Or maybe as seems to be the case.................you are tolerating this kind of statement/behavior.

I make no apology for defending someone that I know and for statements that I know to be..............again being politically correct...........inaccurate.

Far too much of that going on and tolerated here.

I'm beginning to think that it was you that posted that story(?). That was a long time ago and I have no recollection of who said it. Cobraboy himself said he was going to make a motorcycle documentary. No need to defend him since I already know that is true. I was simply stating that the story about the motorcycle movie is only part, at best, of why he is not posting. You proved that by saying he has many and varied reasons for not posting. Personal reasons. That's fine,. I don't need to know anymore. I wasn't attacking any poster's credibility. i think most people understood that. Perhaps I could have worded it better.

Many, many times I've been told that I'm wrong, or what I'm saying is not true, and I didn't get my knickers in a knot like you did. Many posters here are told they're wrong, or what they isn't true, but there's a big difference between "attacking" what one said and "attacking" their credibility.

What happened to cobraboy? That story about him being busy filming a motorcycle trip obviously wasn't true.
The intent was there, but that feel apart over pandemic issues. Unless of course it restarted at the end of the pandemic which some still consider a pandemic. The house not done yet? I haven't spoken to him in a while.

I would be curious to know as well.
Frank blocked a bunch of people from here on his Cabarete Facebook page and left here shortly after the Controversy with Rocky Aqua blue Bar ,and the "alleged" Scam the previous owner was running on the new Buyer . I wonder if that ever got resolved .
His Stories were highly entertaining at times ,but I am guessing mostly fiction.
Hope he found Happiness retiring, and touring the DR with his Russian Wife and Daughter
Rocky's Aqua is falling apart. Lawyers are too blame last I heard.

His books were "factional fiction and fictional fact" as a friend of mine says. That is a mixture. I think he was given a few enforced vacations from DR1 and had enough.

Yes, he loved the Jose O'Shea's bar where he worked and after it became Rocky's Agua and everything fell apart I think he became disillusioned and started a new life in the USA.

I have no personal verification but perhaps Frank the Fluffer went back to a previous career to which he had posted and wrote about, being a fluffer in gay films. I dont think there is a demand for that in the DR.

Before anyone else has a cow Frank did mention doing this as a side job when he was younger.

He mentioned it more than once which made it hard to tell if he was serious or just being Frank.

Carry on….

I don’t think the lgbt community is going to be outraged defending the fluffer profession. I had to look it up. Interesting job description. As said above it seems Frank’s storytelling had a strong fictional component. Maybe he was just being funny. It doesn’t sound like it’s anything to take so seriously Carlos.

Rafael, one of the originals from DR1, passed about 6 months ago.
Yes I knew him quite well. Since 2005 when I first came here. Then for a number of years didn’t see him so much but we met again just before the pandemic. And then we met for coffee during the first months of the pandemic. I was the only foreigner at the wake in Santo Domingo. He was buried next to his mother in New York. His sister in NY arranged everything around wake in SD and NY.

He helped me start my web site. He also made some really good buffalo chicken wings.

Frank is in the US and Canada clearing out abandoned shopping shopping malls. There is a huge amount of that work with all the failed brick and motor stores up there. He is really busy travelling all over North America. Frank was from Bonao, DR as I understand but grew up and went to school in Ohio. I am pretty sure Frank the Fluffer was a fiction, but you never know with him.

I posted the message based on the complaints received that Luperon was attacking Frank which he was not based on Frank’s own comments.

Thought I would comment before anyone else gets triggered.

Man, DR1 takes it seriously the learning something new every day. Some things are better to not learn about them.

Never in a million years I would equate “fluffer” with that. Thank you for ruining another word forever.
