Despite the fact that the government did not authorize the passage to Phase III of the economic and labor de-escalation that it applies to regain normalcy after the country's closure by COVID-19 , it maintains plans to open the tourism sector on July 1, as It planned.Old news from yesterday.
Today, this news became 100% incorrect.
Back to you, Bob.
Could you post a link to what was said today? thanks mate.I will go with what was said today.

Gus, the link I posted is dated today at 7:43pm from Diaro Libre. The other post you referred to, is also from today, albeit about two hours earlier. I have no idea what the RD gov is doing or will be doing or when they will be doing it. I'm just adding recent relevant information.Scroll up....2 postings with the news today.
Not cancelled yet 😂According to government predictions, phase 3 should start on June 17 and the fourth on July 1, four days before the presidential and legislative general elections.
If Phase 3 doesn't happen, how can the opening of airports, hotels, gyms and restaurants happen in Phase 4 on July 1?
Everything gets pushed. So another thousand posts here and on Facebook telling us about how their flight was cancelled for the umpteenth time🙄😷
Is Diaro Libre non PLD favorited? All my Dominican friends screaming its all political and that these daily case numbers are all bloated and made up. They are pissed to say the least.Gus, the link I posted is dated today at 7:43pm from Diaro Libre. The other post you referred to, is also from today, albeit about two hours earlier. Yes I am Dominican by birth. You are a Dominican citizen? So far, the best information here is that only citizens can get on those repatriation/ferry flights. Not residents. But any new info on that will be appreciated.
I agree with you on all points. They could include legal residents just like the USA does.Couldn’t they open up for legal residents, property owners (snowbirds) and maybe family ? But maybe that’s to much paperwork. They can manage it saying just citizens. Anyway July does not look like being the time either and with so many airlines pushing it to november it does not look good.
You cant unsee thatI remember a guy who got in deep doo-doo for posting a pic of a fellow in sox & sandals

I hope your article is correct and they open the country. The announcement of delaying the phasing in dates is confusing to say the least.Gus, the link I posted is dated today at 7:43pm from Diaro Libre. The mixed messages and doublespeak is irritating. I get that the virus has created an unpredictable and very fluid situation, however playing cards close to the vest just aggravates it. I bet business owners and those who rely on the tourist are far more irritated than the tourist. So rhey did, according to this article, inform the tourist sector about "the plan" today...
Seems to be a Top Secret thing! No info got to the web...
Anybody got some Information?![]()
