Its official as of last night news released ,Punta Cana airport is opening on JUL.01

DATE: 22/05/2020

Following the schedule issued by decree of the Dominican Government regarding the opening dates for companies in the tourism sector,
we inform you the Punta Cana International Airport (AIPC) will return to commercial operations starting on Monday , July 1ST , 2020.
In that sense,we ask all companies providing services at the AIPC to be ready to start operations on the date informed.
We are committed to our visitors, users and associates, and will be implementing health and safety protocols in all operations , complying
with local and international regulations and standards.

We are at your service in case of any concerns or assistance regarding this topic.

My guess on this is -
it appears to be written to 'providers' at the airport.... Get Ready !!

Only applies to this , privately owned, airport
The gov't airports may operate differently

Because it was in agreement with their beliefs or was what they were wanted to hear. johne, you know folks are only happy when they hear $hit that agrees with their system.
Of course but hundreds are waiting for real happy information so as to return to their love ones. We don't need false alarms if this not true. Why is not on the airports web site? which I checked

The question still remains...will the DR government require a 14 day quarantine on arrival no matter the date the airports are opened?

What about requirements for testing?

If the US had to bomb Venezuela or some other crazed locale, people would be more interested in a different type of body count and this fascination with virus laced spittle would be over asap
