Where to find good prices from Ottawa, Ont?

Just a quick question,

We live in Ottawa and are planning to go back to DR in June or July to visit family and would like to fly out from Ottawa to Santo Domingo or Santiago or La Romana.

But the cheapest flights we can find are $700 can per person.

We do not want to fly from Toronto because it's a 4 hour drive from here.

If anyone has any ideas please let me know it would be greatly appreciated.

If you book too far in advance you pay more. Check the web sites on a Wednesday that seems when tour operators put the seats back on the market.
