Where to make local calls outside hotel?

Telephone calls from hotels are expensive. I have to make several calls within Santo Domingo while I am there.

Where can I make these locals calls for less money? Do they have pay phones outside or telephone call centers?

There are call centers all over the DR.

Look or ask for "Centro de Llamada". If you don't see the prices posted per minute, ask. The last I remember it was RD9 a minute.
