Well I can tell you nothing works if you are using an IPad. This seems to be the only site you can not click on the picture box and simply insert photos from your saved photos. Doesn’t get any simpler than that. 😉

why can't we post photos in our posts?

I remember your explanation and I do see the little blue box but it won't drag.
When I click on the little blue box I get the "visual search" icon.
No drag.
I'll give it another shot.

I guess it's not a big deal.
I always use the "insert image" on the top line and "click here" which brings me to my pictures. I click to open and bam the picture (super-sized) opens here.
Let me try the "insert image" in the bottom left hand corner.

Now try decreasing the size by opening your post, click on the picture, then slide the corner square.
As AE mentioned previously, direct copy/paste seems to only work for mods and "metal level" members (platinum, silver, etc).
I think that's what's happening. Prevents new unknowns from posting spam.
Rank has its privilages, as I learned well in the military.
Here's another possible way to do it(see screen shot below). First, click on the square that's in between the smiley face and what looks like a paper. clip. That will open the box that says "Drop Image"(or click here). Click on it. That will open Internet Explorer(if you have Windows}. You'll probably have to resize it to get it to look like in the pic. Scroll down to "Pictures" and find the pic you want to post. Left click and hold down on the pic you want to post and drag over to the the box where it says Drop Image and release:
