Well when I was younger I promised myself to never date a dominican man because they are "enamoraos," but I have learned that everyone is different (I'm sure that's not new). I was in san juan last month for a day. I saw many beautiful PR girls. The truth is, it felt like I was in santiago region becuase the girls in santiago look exactly the same as PR girls or better. Santiagueras are cute, sweet, white, straight hair, elegant and educated with class. This would be a surprise to many who only visit POP, sosua and boca chica and see only low life hookers (all blacks).
Santiago girls are no less than any beauty from venezuela or colombia. Just stand outside the entrance of the Utesa or PUCMM university and see how many emelia vegas come out in one hour alone.
These santiagueras from better class are not looking for old gringos or Puerto ricans to get a visa out of the country. They are there and you have to win them. many of these girls already have visas to usa and travel on yearly basis. the upper-middle class dominican women don't even want to live in USA or have anything to do with foreigners. They prefer dominicans just like the eligeble dominican professional male. For that reason you folks never come in contact with any of these types in the beach resort areas. These people go to resorts and are confused for foreigners by the the tourists. They don't mix in with the tourists or the resort workers alike. The resort workers are nothing more than servents to them. Resort workers know not to talk to the better class dominicans because they are not welcomed. A serious santiaguera (santiago girl) will not be caught dead with a sankie.

But its like that in most of Latin America where you still have traditional societies.....A good Dominican girl has her family and a set of close friends as her main social group.....so foreigners don't get to know them very often. The same can be said for Dominican men.....no one wastes their time on servents and blacks/mulatos....

With PR women, those abroad tend to be economic refugees.....just like most of the Dominicans abroad....so the culture of poverty unites them, they are more apt to mix because of their class situation.

This is nonesense.....the type of "wood" exported is the in reality the kind that can't grow there so it leaves...... Sorry, but the attitudes about black men being better endowed is just a myth....and the social position of Dominican blacks makes them not desirable to Dominican women.....

The people who claim to have their ass grabbed in public or have girls come over and ask them to become their boyfriends are the same people who happen to find hookers places whereever they go in the world. I have been to PR and I have never had any girl come up to me and grab my ass. PR girls are just as arrogant as the santiago girls in DR. Funny, when ever I have friends come over to see me in santiago, all they want is to frequent hooker places ex: carwashes, stip joints, whore houses etc. Thats all they want to do, nothing else. When I invite decent girls over the same guys get an egg stuck in their throats. They don't even know how to even strike a conversation with them. The poor guys get so imtimidated they turn red. They go to nicer classed bars and get stunned watching beatiful girls getting out of expensive SUVs and BMws that they own and pay their tab with gold cards etc. I happen to have 4 girlfriends who own cars better than mine (then again, everyone owns a car which is better than my junk). These girls are professional sales agents, dentist, lawyers and simply from better families. No tourist know a girl like this, in fact they think girls like these are very very few. I don't blame them for thinking like this because thats all what they come in contact with and thats all they seek. Lets face it, most western guy don't know how to pick up decent girls. They just don't have the BS worked out. They have been trained to act like gentlemen in their own countries. Yeah sure AZB, couldn't have naything to do with the fact that I was frickin' gorgeous when I was 18 in PR. I was no tourist either, I spent over a year there.
I'm sure we could debate about this for centuries, but I know for a fact that Puerto Rican women are more aggressive than Dominicans, they see something they want, they walk up and introduce themselves, rather than make up excuses to walk back and forth in front of you hoping YOU'LL make a move, which is a common Dominican tactic.
Sure this is something of a generalization, and there will be many exceptions, but I think even if you compare the crime rates in the DR and PR, statistics will suggest that Puerto Ricans are more aggressive than Dominicans in general, which is one of the reasons I live here.

Think Red Devil's summarized well and I agree 100% with all his remarks.
But doesn't it ring true in just about any place tourists congregate and/or there's a large expat community? Some places that spring to mind: Tunis, Cairo, Dubai [to a limited degree], Brazzaville, Tunis, Bangkok [for men], Manila, The Gambia [for women, mainly Europeans/ Scandanavians], et al.
It's truly a sad, pathetic sight to see young girls who're just looking for a kick maybe and are going to take home a present they really didn't expect; or, those old enough to know better, but are most likely desperate for simple companionship and lose their common sense.
