Will my kids need their Dominican passports?

My daughter has been traveling on European passport ever since she had one, but as correctly pointed out place of birth DR does not make you a citizen, as many Haitians can attest, so it's always best to carry a DR birth certificate. That way the foreign passport can get unlocked without issues (and locked it is...). The DR does not oblige you to travel on DR passport if DR citizen, but you must be able to prove DR citizenship.

I always come and go from the DR with my DR Passport. Never a problem or delay. But they want to see that you have another passport to enter the destination Country.
