Well said Mike, I know that it was hard for you to lose this game. It was a wonderful exhibition of what f?tbol, football, soccer, (I forget the German name for it) is all about.

No dirty tactics, thank God. Good hard play. A really fantastic goal by Puyols from out of nowhere...

Spain played very well, a good set play made the difference. Hooray for both teams!!

Germany will be a huge favorite in Brazil, they have a wonderful and very young team. I can't see the same for Spain. Holland will be well tested on Sunday.

?zil, Mueller and others are quite young and I bet Podolski will be back, the keeper also....

Ain't it a wonderful game???

Mike, take heart, we'll see Germany in 2014!!

the German name for Futbol is Fussball.
yep,
that young sqoad will stick on very most positions together for the next 4 years, they been great on the europeans(yes, lost the final to spain there 1:0, coincedence??, lol), they performed great this world Cup, even that I've been a bit disappointed about their Will today, been missing the heart to play, seemed often like they feared the Spaniards, Why??
for 2014 they will be ready,
but I guess so will be others, specially the this year very disappointing leaving Brazilians in front of their homecrowds in the world''s biggest soccer stadiums. it will be something very different.
at leat this sunday after the Final we will have a New name on the list of World Champions, both Competitors never touched a Cup there.
Mueller been missed a lot today,
he is a working horse in that Team and he is a driving Force forward,
actually not replaceable.
for the 2014 Cup I await to see at least 2 new Strikers in the Team,
for klose the Time is up, Cacau could never be one, Germany been heaviest understaffed on that position.
the Bundesliga is full of Young Talent to scout for that,
not even needed to naturalize Brazilians for such position,
the management has just to move their Azz's on the matter and give the boys their needed Intl practice during the next years.
the Euros 2012 will be the final test spot.

Can the Netherlands beat Spain?

Now I know why Spain is the European champion team. They don't score much but sure play a savvy game. I was surprised at Germany's inability to generate any real offense or shots on goal which is a tribute to Spain's tenacious defense. Germany is one of the highest scoring teams in the World Cup and they were shut down at the hands of their rivals from Spain. I did not find the game exciting at all. I enjoyed watching Germany play against Australia and England, two games in which they ran the field.

The challenge now remains in the hands of The Netherlands. For either team, winning the World Cup will be a first time dream come true but can the Netherlands beat Spain? How I would love the see "la Naranja Mec?nica" win but Spain just seems so invincible right now that I am preparing myself for a hard fought match. In my opinion, once again the team that plays Spain needs to score first and early something that Germany should have been able to do but instead they played the first half as though they had a 1-0 lead.

The road to the champion team is down to one game. It's do or die and once again I say may the best team win!

Brazil 2014 here I come...I have all my Brazilian gear and other team paraphernalia ....Que viva Brasil.

Octopus Paul picks Spain to win World Cup

BERLIN ? Octopus oracle Paul predicts Spain will beat Holland and win the World Cup.

Paul's pick was carried live Friday on TV stations around Europe. The world-famous octopus could be seen sitting on a tank marked with a Spanish flag for only a few minutes before grabbing out a mussel and devouring it, while completely ignoring the Dutch tank ? indicating a Spanish victory in Sunday's final match in the World Cup.

At least one English team made it to the final :)

Premier League official Howard Webb has been chosen to referee Sunday's World Cup final between Netherlands and Spain in Johannesburg, Fifa has confirmed.

Webb, 38, has impressed in the finals so far, as have his fellow English assistants Michael Mullarkey and Darren Cann, who will join him in the final.

Nah, Brazil's going to win on its home turf. ;-)"

If history repeats itself - the next cup should go to Uruguay!!

Hehe, any predictions for saturday's bronze game? Don't think I have to tell you who I'm supporting.

The Dutch take the whole thing - the only undefeted team left - they deserve - the spanish are too slow, unentartaining.

the Bronze game is somethin without senses, it should be stopped.
the 2 winners of the Semis play for the Cup and the 2 Loosers count as the Bronze Tams. til today I never watched any of the Bronze ames nor did I pay attention on who won or lost it, b/c it has absolutely zero value.
who looses in the Semis is allowed to fly home or what the better Teams playin the Final, but nobody is motivated to play a Bronze game 2 days after beeing kicked out of the Semis.
I am also with the Dutch on sunday,
yes, the German calls Oranjes, ha ha,
simply b/c Spain did in my opinion not play a good Tournament and not deserve to play the Final.
no doubt from my side that they been the clear better Team in the Semi against Germany, that victory they deserved.
ORANJES
Uruguay can have the Bronze if that's important to you, no prob with me, lol.
