Wyndham to open hotel and residences in Jarabacoa

US hotel brands are claiming stake to vacation destinations in the Dominican Republic. Now, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts announces the launch of the first Registry Collection by Wyndham opening in Jarabacoa, Dominican Republic.

Alterra Village and Grupo De Valle have announced they are working with Wyndham to ensure high quality and successful marketing. The residential and hotel development will be the first Registry Collection hotels and residences.

The announcement was made during the International Tourism Trade Fair (FITUR) in Madrid, Spain. The Wyndham hotel marks the arrival of the first branded tourism company to Jarabacoa, the most popular mountain destination in the Dominican Republic. Jarabacoa is located in central La Vega province, about an hour’s drive from Santo Domingo and Santiago’s Cibao International Airport.

36 eco-friendly bungalows will be the first to be built, creating 120 rooms. The property will feature its restaurant with mountain views.

Jarabacoa is one of the most picturesque towns in the country. I would suck if they start carving it up.
