Port Binding
Dynamic Routing
Port Locating

Are all off . I see nothing called Port Forwarding, so is that a part of one of the above?
There are also Port Binding settings.
most likely dynamic routing.. you need to know the port your camera server runs on.. i would try 8080 and 8000

The web server for the camera system is not getting a default gateway when hooked to the new fiber modem.
set the ip address manually then. default gateway in the internal address of your router most likely 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 then set subnet to 255.255.255.0 and dns servers to 8.8.8.8. and 8.8.4.4 if there are 2. for the camera system address itself set it to 192.168.1.254 or 192.168.0.254 you need to see if your router is using the 0 or 1 for the second to last digit in the addresses and set it accordingly

Thanks for the suggestions, but the new router has already been replaced by the old router that works. Much slower router, but all is functioning again.
Perhaps sometime in the future I will have to go through this dance again.

Get yourself a couple of mesh routers to use with your old girl and watch your world improve.

Yep admin/admin and any other googled result all failed. The installers will probably be back tomorrow, Hopefully I can get a refund.

Anyone have a good range booster source for WiFi?
I use a TP-LINK RE330 range extender and it works very good in my house, but there other TP-LINK range extenders that supposedly offer more coverage.

We only use the IPS provided ZTE to have signal come in house, then we have hard-wired Fritz Box and Fritz Repeater (German made), that we brought with us from the EU. Works nicely.

guys nowdays extenders are not good enough for extending wifi, very often those things create packet storms and decrease efficiency of wifi. it may work at first but then with more and more devices and more complex locations of different devices it becomes a problem.

i have seen situation when people putting repeaters to connect to wifi connection of common area of their condominium and it may work at first but then when more people start doing it it creates very bad packet storm, because all of those repeaters trying to repeat each other without any controller and it becomes really bad mess.

i explained it before. even if you have good wifi signal, if you have device connected to your access point (worse when it's connected to a repeater) it actually slows down experience for everybody else who is connected to the same wifi access point (radio).

so solution is mesh systems which is smart way of repeating signal where one of those nodes is working like traffic controller and it keeps connectivity with radio that has best signal for your device. and it kicks your device out of radios that cannot provide better experience or if you causing decrese in quality of connection for others.

mesh does work over wifi but i strongly recommend interconnect them with cable for better expirience.

need to keep in mind with some mesh systems when node looses connection to a source of the internet it may still broadcast name of the network and it may appear that you don't have internet with your wifi but it's only because your are connected to isolated mesh node.

My WYZE mesh system is connected to the Altice fiber optic and I get faster speeds than Altice says they're giving me.

I have a 300 Mbps connection, and Speedtest and Fast both indicate I get as much as 450 Mbps through the mesh boxes

I went to upgrade my fiber optic modem from a very old and weak WiFi ZTE ZXHN 660 modem and ran into problems with the new ZTE ZXHN F670L modem
It has better WiFi signal, but it is not allowing my HiLook security cameras to work (DDNS not working on the camera controller) and it is blocking an IPTV service that I have.

I have tried to get the ISP in Cabarete to give me the administrator login information so I can see if I can fix the issues, but they keep telling me to use "user / user" login instead. I can see nothing wrong in the user level of the modem's web server settings. So I need the admin ones to see if something is blocking me.

I tried to contact ZTE and they only answer technical questions if I bought the modem directly from them. Duh..

I have exhausted Google with trying to find an answer for the administrator logins. None work. Double Duh...

Anyone familiar with work around? Or I will have to return it and use the old unit.
Here are some options to evaluate:

What You Can Try

A. Alternative Admin Credentials

Try these commonly reported F670L admin combos (no guarantee but worth a shot):

UsernamePassword
adminadmin
adminzteadmin
adminpassword
rootadmin
telecomadminadmintelecom
supportsupport
useruser

  • Try accessing via both 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.0.1.
  • Use a wired connection — some routers block admin access from WiFi.

B. Exploit the Backdoor (if present)

Some older ZTE firmware versions have hidden backdoor access:

C. Use a Secondary Router (Workaround)

If admin access remains impossible:

  1. Turn off WiFi on the ZTE F670L or disable DHCP (if possible).
  2. Use your own router behind the ZTE:
    • Connect ZTE LAN to your router's WAN.
    • Set your router in DMZ on the ZTE (if accessible) — if not, use static IP on your router.
    • Configure port forwarding, DDNS, and IPTV from your router.

✅ This gives you control without replacing the modem entirely.

D. Return to the Old Unit with a Router Add-on

If the F670L continues to block key functions:

  • Return to your older modem.
  • Add a powerful third-party router (e.g., TP-Link, Asus) with DDNS/IPTV support.
  • Disable WiFi on the old modem and let your router handle everything.

Yes and no. The old router only hit 100 Mbits/s max speed -cheap Chinese junk . The new router, also cheap Chinese junk but newer, if I could have gotten it to function with my IPTV and security cameras was at least 3 times faster. Oh well, for now I live with that speed and the old router.

I did order a router from Amazon to be directly shipped to the DR free of duty and shipping charges to my door using Amazon. We will see how that shipment goes. It is "meshable", but of course with only one mesh router there is no mesh to be had.

You can buy more and connect them. But if one covers your house, why buy another?

little bit of service announcement. delancer recently purchased mesh nodes that work together with newer models of F670L modems and it actually works all together pretty well. Modem acts as mesh controller and all network runs over controlled meshed environment. those can be connected over wifi or by cable. it cost less than most of mesh systems on amazon and it's compatible with the modem so you have one less device to power and also one less NAT translation to cross and can take full advantage of IPv6 connectivity.
