Liz Claiborne, one of the most successful women’s and men’s fashion designers in the U.S., is planning to open a shop in Santo Domingo in 1996, according to the Listin Diario newspaper. Her company, which has been exporting items from Free Zones here since 1992, will open the shop as part of an international expansion which includes the Far East, the Middle East, South and Central America and the Caribbean.
