Opinion poll places PRD in the lead

According to an opinion poll carried out by the Venezuelan firm Emevenca, published in Rumbo last week, the presidential candidate of the PRD leads with 47% of voters supporting him. The poll was carried out between 16 March and 3 April. Leonel Fernández of the PLD is in second place with 34%, and Jacinto Peynado of the PRSC is in a distant third with 17%. The firm, represented in the country by Gerardo Díaz Fernán, surveyed 4,124 people throughout the country. It revealed that 49% believe Peña Gómez will win the election, 30% Leonel, and 15% Peynado.
