Lozano and Asociados, a Chilean firm commissioned by the PRD, indicates that Dr José Francisco Peña Gómez, presidential candidate of the PRD, is ahead with 42.57%. Leonel Fernández is second with 20.25% and Jacinto Peynado has 18.74%. The poll was carried out between the 23 March and 8 April and covered 1,200 people.
