The Banco Hipotecario Dominicano (BHD) has received a US$11 million loan from the British Commonwealth Development Bank (CDC), for a special mortgage scheme in U.S. dollars for Dominicans living abroad, and for medium-term loans for businesses providing goods and services. José A. Caro, president of BHD, and Michael Bax, the local CDC representative, signed the agreement at a ceremony held at the headquarters of BHD.
