The president of the Basketball Association of the National District, Andres Liberato, announced that its professional basketball tournament will begin on 18 July. The summer professional league consists of teams from clubs in Los Mina, San Lazaro, Los Prados, Villa Duarte (Calero), and San Carlos will participate in the tournament. The games will be played at the Palacio de los Deportes Virgilio Travieso Soto in the Centro Olímpico Juan Pablo Duarte.
