President Joaquin Balaguer received the new ambassadors from El Salvador, Austria and Belgium on 26 June. Carlos Ernesto Mendoza Collado of El Salvador, Johannes Skriwan of Austria and Ronald A.A.R. De Langhe of Belgium met with President Balaguer, Vice-President Jacinto Peynado and Foreign Minister Caonabo Javier Castillo, among others, at the National Palace. Mr. Mendoza will reside in Santo Domingo, while Mr. Skriwan and Mr. De Langhe will carry out their diplomatic tasks from Caracas, Venezuela.
