A McDonald’s fast food chain, one of the largest in the world, is set to open its first outlet in the Dominican Republic on 1 November, although the exact location has still to be determined. The restaurant’s mascot, Ronald McDonald, recently paid a visit to the United States Embassy to join in the U.S. Independence Day celebrations.
The international fast food business has grown rapidly in the last four years in the D.R., with the introduction of Wendy’s, Pizza Hut, Domino’s Pizza, Burger King, Dairy Queen, Taco Bell, and Subway Sandwich Shops.
