Government of Taiwan to help D.R.

The government of the Republic of Taiwan will develop a technology assistance program to strengthen small and medium enterprises, with a contribution of US$10 million. According to the Minister of Finance for Taiwan, Paul Chiu, the small and medium businesses of his country export more than US$60 million, which is why they feel able to help the Dominican Republic. He said a mission of technicians from his country, that will arrive within a few days, will begin a technical assistance program that will continue beyond 16 August.
