The Executive Secretary of the Comisión de Cacao, Domingo Cunillera, said that the country has exported cocoa valued at US$58.8 million this year. He recalled that last year, the country exported 689,998 sacks of cocoa and, so far this year, 706,582 sacks have been shipped – a significant increase, considering that cocoa production has not yet ended for 1996.
