D.R. among countries with low rates of inflation

The Dominican Republic has maintained its leadership among the Caribbean and Latin American countries in terms of price stability, resulting in a low accumulated inflation rate from December 1995 to July 1996. According to Central Bank data, checked by the Comisión Económica para la América Latina (CEPAL), the accumulated rate of inflation at July 1996 was 5.81%, being less than that registered in the same period for 1995, which was 12.32%.
