Gutierrez Feliz: financial recovery of CORDE has yet to begin

The director of the Corporation of State-Owned Enterprises (CORDE), Euclides Gutierrez Feliz, told the newspaper Hoy that the organization’s financial recovery has not begun, and that the new administration is still in the evaluation stage. CORDE, in which the majority of the companies find themselves on the the brink of financial collapse, is considered one of the biggest challenges for the new government. Companies such as Molinos Dominicanos and Compañia Dominicana de Aviación have lost millions for the state, and former directors of CORDE have been prohibited to leave the country pending audit reports on their companies.
