Group to travel to Haiti to expand trade relations

A group of businessmen, accompanied by high-ranking members of the government, will travel to Haiti in order to strengthen and expand trade relations with the D.R.’s neighbor. The Dominican mission will be comprised of businessman Jose Miguel Bonetti; Foreign Minister Eduardo Latorre; Technical Secretary of the Presidency Eduardo Selman; Minister of Industry and Commerce Luis Manuel Bonetti; the Minister of Agriculture Frank Rodriguez; and the director of the Centro Dominicano de Promoción de Exportaciones (CEDOPEX), Atahualpa Domínguez. Among the issues to be discussed in Port-Au-Prince are the formal and informal trade in the border region, protection of the environment, and the revision of some established trade agreements between the two nations.
