The Asociacíon de Fabricantes de Conservas del Agro (AFCONAGRO) has announced that it ´is financing the planting of tomatoes in the Azua valley and other southern areas, with an investment of RD$325 million. Engineer Amable Padilla, who is the executive secretary of AFCONAGRO, said that more than 7,000 small farmers are involved in producing the fruit.
