The director of the National Statistics Office, Maritza Rossi de Perez, says that her department will soon publish the final results of the VII National Census that was carried out in September 1993. She said her department has increased the number of personnel to process the data and it should be completed in four months. She said that they plan to make a summary available on the Internet. They will prepare another summarized version of the results for the year end. In October they will have a report on construction carried out between 1994 and 1995. They are already publishing a daily report on the basic indicators that comprise the “bread basket” as well as on construction materials.
