The Central Bankgovernor, Héctor Valdez Albizu, has confirmed that the Dominican Republic is up to date in its payments against the external debt. He also pointed out that the behavior of the gross foreign reserves is cyclical, and that they have maintained the same trend historically. He emphasized, however, that what is really important to the country is that the Central Bank has been punctually meeting its international obligations.
