The terms covering a loan of US$52 million and a donation of US$2.2 million were signed by President Leonel Fernández and by Mr. Enrique Iglesias, president of the Interamerican Bank for Development, at the National Palace. These monies are part of the technical assistance contract for the strengthening of basic education and for the cooperation programs in the areas of health and savings.
