The professional women’s basketball tournament of the National District will begin on 23 October. The Aguilas de Guachupita, Mauricio Baez, Los Mina, San Carlos, San Lazaro and Nueva Fe will vie for the championship, won last year by Guachupita. Games will be held in Club San Carlos, Club San Lazaro and the Palacio de los Deportes Virgilio Travieso Soto at the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center. On Fridays and Saturdays games will begin at 6:30 pm, while on Saturdays and Sundays doubleheaders will be played. Starting time on Saturdays will be 3:00 pm and on Sundays 4:00 pm.
