After losing all their games in the capital city, on Sunday evening, the Dominican Winter Baseball League champions, the Aguilas Cibaeñas, broke the losing spell and defeated the Escogido Lions 5-4 in a game that extended through the 11th inning at the Quisqueya Park. In La Romana, the Toros defeated the Licey Tigers, 7-3. And in San Francisco de Macorís, the Estrellas Orientales won, 7-4. The Licey continues to be in first place, followed by the Escogido Lions, who are three games behind. Next are the Aguilas, the Azucareros, the Gigantes and the Estrellas. Today the Escogido will play the Aguilas in the Estadio Cibao at 7:30 pm.
