Hoy newspaper poll on government

Hoy newspaper has published the results of its own nationwide poll, carried out by Hamilton-Beattie & Staff on 24-30 July. 57% believe the government’s performance was bad in its first year (35% described it as bad, 22% very bad). Only 39% described the government’s performance as good (30% good, 9% excellent). 58% believe the country is on the wrong road, as opposed to 18% who think it’s going in the right direction. The newspaper says that 75% of the population feels there is corruption in government (38% say lots of corruption, 37% say some corruption).
