Agustin Carstens, deputy managing director of the International Monetary Fund, and a former deputy minister of finance of Mexico, is visiting. He is scheduled to meet with President Leonel Fernandez and to visit Congress. His visit comes as part of the reviewing of the compliance of the Dominican Republic with the IMF stand by arrangement.
