President Leonel Fernandez is going on a 10-day tour to the Far East starting this Thursday, 22 June. The trip will take him to Taiwan, Japan and South Korea. He will leave on Thursday with a stopover in Los Angeles, where he will meet with important film producers. On 24 June, he will travel to Taiwan for meetings with business representatives on seeking high tech investment. There he will be hosted by President Chen Shui-bian. Roberto Reyna, rector of the state university UASD, will accompany him on this portion of the trip where a US$14 million loan will be signed for the automating of registration and administrative services. Fernandez on 29 June will visit Japan, from where he will travel to South Korea where on his agenda is a meeting with President Roh Moo-hyun.
