A shark weighing approximately 500lbs was caught off the coast of Las Americas Avenue near kilometer 11 yesterday. A group of fishermen and divers from the Club Chupa Fondo took four hours to catch the shark which they had spotted at around 7:00am. Hundreds of people gathered around the shark to take pictures or look on, according to a report by Diario Libre.
