The Senate has asked the Executive Branch to create a specialized military force to impede that persons whose homes were flooded rebuild in high-risk areas near dams, rivers and streams. This would avoid a repeat of the present disaster situation, where so far nearly 100 persons lost their lives when the flooding caught them by surprise overnight on Sunday, 4 November. It also requests that the government renegotiate Banco Agricola loans to farmers who lost their crops due to the flooding and award special financing for replanting of short cycle produce.
