The Inicia (Start) Foundation has opened the call for applications for the 2014 Inicia Scholarships. These scholarships “give Dominican professionals the opportunity to do Masters Programs focused on the relevant areas for the process of improving educational quality.” A press release received by Listin Diario says that the project seeks to place scholarship students in the best US university programs. The note says that six students are currently studying in some of the most prestigious US universities such as Harvard and Stanford. “The applications are for students who will begin their Masters programs in August 2014 and the call goes out to any professional who wishes to join the Dominican educational system and contribute to its improvement.”
