North American gold mining companies see big opportunities in the Dominican Republic, especially from the publicized high profitability Barrick landed with the Dominican government.

These include Perilya’s gold-copper mine in Cerro de Maimon, PanTerra’s Las Lagunas gold project and Xstrata’s Falcondo nickel complex. The juniors include Everton Resources, Precipitate Gold, Santo Mining, Unigold and GoldQuest Mining.
