The first quarter of this year has seen increased banana exports to Europe, from 5 to 14 containers in this year’s first quarter, an unprecedented growth in recent years in the country.
The director of the Dominican Agrarian Institute (IAD), Radhames Valenzuela, attributed the growth to President Danilo Medina’s support for the sector.
