The Latin American Episcopal Council (CELAM) is holding its 35th Annual General Assembly in Santo Domingo starting tomorrow, Tuesday 12 and through Thursday 15 May 2015.
The working sessions of the bishops of Latin America will be held at the Casa De Convivencia Maria De La Altagracia located on the Las Americas Highway.
The 35th Episcopal Conference of Latin America and the Caribbean will review the last four years and outline the pastoral priorities for the region from 2015 to 2019.
A new president and directors for the next four years will be elected.
The presiding cardinal of the Pontifical Commission for Latin America and other delegates of Pope Francis have come from Rome to attend the event.
